Every battery system (accumulator) requires a battery management system (BMS), the aim of which is to optimise the use of the battery storage system in order to achieve the greatest possible range and a long service life. An operating strategy is derived from the measurement data determined by modules subordinate to the BMS and the states determined and predicted in the BMS. It is implemented by controlling the charging management, the thermal management, the inverters and the balancing system of the battery storage system. <\/p>\n<p>But even the design of the system, from the hardware concept of the housing to the contacting and the arrangement of the cells, influences the final performance of the overall system.
